Alaska Dermatology Laser & Skin Cancer Center Exclusively Provides Fraxel Treatment
The greatest innovation in laser technology in years, known in laser circles as “the darling of lasers,” Fraxel is our finest and most popular laser. And now it’s even better! Introducing the new and improved Fraxel re:store DUAL!
By far the best laser for treating ALL skin types:
Caucasian, Asian, Hispanic, Native American, and most Black skin.
And for superficial pigmentation issues and deep in the skin layer issues – All in one treatment!
How does Fraxel differ from other laser skin procedures? Typically there are two kinds of treatments available for cosmetic skin procedures: ablative and non-ablative. The former uses high temperatures to remove unwanted tissues. While it’s effective, it has too long a recovery time and comes with several equally unwanted side effects. Non-ablative, on the other hand, has a low amount of downtime with fewer problems, but the results are more modest and require multiple treatments.
Fraxel can provide the potency of an ablative treatment with the minimal downtime down non-ablative lasers use, giving dramatic effects with fewer side effects. In all, there are three available treatments, all of which offer a fast recovery with great results. These treatments can be categorized into two sections:
- Fraxel re:fine: for maintenance
- Fraxel 1550: for mild or severe damage
- Fraxel 1927: for mild or severe damage
- Fraxel re:pair: for correcting severe photoaging
The Fraxel re:pair treatment is a brand new way to tackle severe skin damage without any of the downtime, complications or risks that any other kind of ablative procedure would demand on the patient. This treatment uses a carbon dioxide laser to remove unwanted tissue, but the fractional technology permits faster recovery.
How Effective Is It?
Fraxel is a very effective treatment for sun damage, pigmentation, surface scarring and wrinkles, such as brow lines and crow’s feet. Other examples include healing skin damage, minimizing age spot appearance and erasing the effects of scarring like acne. It can also help with a common pre-cancerous condition, Actinic Keratosis.
After a decade of experience with treatments, this technology is a science that is proven to get real results for real people. During this time, physicians have used the technology on nearly a million patients, which include men and women of all different ethnicities, each of whom have different reasons to look younger again.
A Fit For You
Fraxel is a revolutionary technology perfect for those who want real results and who want to look good without the extended downtime that surgery would typically require. In other words, it has no problem being able to fit into any beauty regimen or lifestyle.
A non-invasive procedure with the proven ability to minimize downtime due to its safety, it is easy to manage this procedure into any routine. Fraxel is the perfect fit for effects that creams and lotions cannot offer: truly reversing the signs of aging.
Our Alaska Dermatology specialists welcome all patients interested in Fraxel treatment. We are currently accepting new patients and most insurance plans.
How It Works
This laser technology is the original treatment that will work beneath the surface starting from the top, addressing fine lines, scarring, age spots, wrinkles, photo aging and other imperfections. The light energy from the laser will stimulate the naturally occurring collagen as it revitalizes the skin cells beneath the surface in an effort to smooth out the pockets and creases that would cause scars and wrinkles. It is only possible to treat the targeted areas, which makes the results effective and focused above all.
Whether you have mild to severe skin damage, there’s a Fraxel treatment for you. The Fraxel family of treatments has FDA clearances for the following skin conditions:
- Fine lines around the eyes
- Age spots/sunspots
- Acne scars and surgical scars
- Melasma (mask of pregnancy)
- Discoloration and uneven pigmentation
- Irregular texture
